Cricut Sweet Treats Birthday Cards

Hi everyone... thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. We finally heard today from MD Anderson and we have an appointment next Tuesday. Luckily, my parents' friends have a great doctor there that helped us get in sooner. Once we meet with the doctor down there, we will know more about his treatment plan. Please continue to pray!!
Yesterday, I realized that I needed 4 birthday cards THIS week alone, plus some coming up in April. I had just bought the Sweet Treats cartridge a month ago and wanted to use it to make some birthday cards. Here are three of the cards:

Taking a break....

I will be taking a break for awhile. Just found out that my husband has a cancerous tumor in his abdomen. He had a cancer removed from his arm 3 weeks ago (it is called leiomyosarcoma) and they did a full body scan just in case and found a 5 inch tumor in his stomach. So we meet with the oncologist tomorrow to discuss treatment. We will probably be going to Houston to MD Anderson for a 2nd opinion. If you pray, please keep him in your prayers!!! He is way too young (38) to be going through this!! Thanks... Beth

Bunny Scrapbook

I bought this bunny accordian scrapbook SVG file from http://www.myscrapchick.com/ . There are lots of different animals albums that can be made. I thought this would be perfect for a baby scrapbook or Easter. It was really fun to make. I cannot wait to make some of the other animals... Have a great weekend!!

Nothing says Easter like Bunny Peeps.... right? I found this free SVG file on another website. My cricut cut out all of the layers... so easy to make...

Premade Bachelorette Party Scrapbook

Happy Friday!!! This week sure flew by!!! Yesterday I finished up this bachelorette scrapbook. I think that this scrapbook would make an awesome gift for a bride. All she would have to do is put the wild and crazy pictures in... the rest is all done for her!!!
I had a blast putting this scrapbook together. For some reason, I believe that hot pink and black make the perfect color combo for a girl's night out!! What do you think? You can see this scrapbook HERE in my Etsy shop.

Premade Easter Word Scrapbook

Here is my Easter word Scrapbook. I need to thank Dan at My Crafty Files who custom made the Easter Word Book SVG file for me. If you dont know what an SVG file is, it is a file that you can download and then cut out using your Cricut machine. You also have to have to Sure Cuts A Lot program. It is awesome... you don't have to spend all your money on cartridges... there are tons of free SVG files on the internet and you can also purchase some for not very much money!! Anyway thanks Dan for helping me out!! Here is the completed album:





I used a lot of fun 3-D Easter embellishments. They really pop off the page. Check it out in my Etsy shop.

Soccer Premade Scrapbook Word Album

Hey everyone.. I hope that your Tuesday has been great. The past 2 days I have been working on something new: Word shaped Scrapbooks. They are really fun to make and really easy. My cricut does most of the work. Today I am going to show you the first one that I made: SOCCER.

3D flower pot shaped card... perfect birthday, mother's day, or any occasion

This has to be my favorite card so far. I had so much fun making it! It did take more time than other cards, but look at the result!!! I got the download from www.svgcuts.com and my cricut cuts everything I need out for me. What do you think??

First Communion and Baptism Cards

I know a lot of kids (My daughter, 2 nephews, 1 niece, and couple others)that will be receiving their First Communion this spring. So I thought I would get a head start on some of the cards. I found this cross card file on a site. All I had to do was download it and my Cricut cut it out (using the Sure Cuts A Lot program)!! I love the cut out crosses on the side!!

I also used this card to make a Baptism card:

All of these cards are in my Etsy shop.
My next shaped card is just about finished.... This card took a lot more time than the others. It is a flower pot filled with individual cut out flowers!! I am loving how it turned out!! If I have time, I will finish it today and post it later.

Cupcake Shaped Birthday cards

Here are some more shaped cards: CUPCAKES!!! I had so much fun making these!!! Nothing says birthday like a cupcake!!



I am trying to think of other shapes to use to make fun cards with... do you have any ideas???? Today I will be making First Communion Cards... I know 3 kids receiving their First Communion this spring (including my daughter!!) so I will need to have some on hand... so stay tuned to see those!

Easter cards

Believe it or not, Easter will be here before we know!!! I have been having a lot of fun making shaped cards, so I thought I would try making some Egg cards for Easter. I used my Cricut expression to make the egg cards,the Bunnies, and the envelopes.


This last card I stamped the little bunny and added liquid applique to his tail to make it look like a cotton tail.

Birthday card, Thank you Card, Baby Bee card, all Papertrey INK

I had a productive morning!! I made 3 cards!!! I am loving this set from Papertrey Ink: Baby Button Bits. As you can see, I used the cupcake stamp for a thank you card and a birthday card... so the set can be very versatile!!! My favorite card out of these 3 is the baby bee one!!! I found this yellow and white gingham paper in my stash and thought it would be perfect for this card!! I added glitter to the wings to make them sparkle!



I cannot believe that tomorrow is already Friday!!!! We are supposed to get another round of snow Sunday night.... so we may be looking at another snow day.
I am in the midst of designing my stamp/scrapbook room!! We are looking at using kitchen cabinets as part of the design. I have 2 pretty big walls that I can use. I already have my work table. I got it last year at IKEA. We used 2 bookcases and a kitchen counter.. I love it!!! However, I have so much stuff and need more storage.
Do you have your own space? If so, I would LOVE to see pictures... I need ideas. Thanks... Have a great weekend!!!!

Onesie Shaped Baby Cards

We have had even more snow this week. We got 10 inches Monday and Tuesday. The kids finally went back to school today.

I have seen these onesie shaped cards on other websites and thought they were so cute!! I had to try one (or two)... I couldn't just make a boy one, had to make a girl one too! It is a good thing that I have know A LOT of people (6) having babies soon. Now I have an excuse to make these really cute cards. Have you made any shaped cards? If so, what shape? I would love to try other ones out!!! Have a great night!

Baby cards

So sorry I haven't been updating my posts!!! It has been a snowy week here in Cincinnati and the kids had 2 snow days. During these days I have been making Valentine's, helping my daughter with her Valentine cards, and making some baby cards. First here is a picture of a few of my daughter's Valentine cards she made for her classmates. We used the Papertrey Ink Valentine stamps.


She had a lot of fun making these and did a great job....
Here are the 2 Baby cards I made last night using the template from Papertrey Ink. These elephants are sooo cute, and I had so much fun making them!!!





Did you get a lot of snow? We got about 8 inches and will be getting another round on Sunday. We are celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow night. My husband and I have never been really into Valentine's Day. We like to celebrate it with kids. We are going to dinner and Build a Bear. This is what we did last year and they wanted to do it again!!! I wish all of you a Happy Valentine's Day!!!! Have a great weekend!

Valentine Cards

9 more days until Valentine's day!!! I can't believe it! 2010 is already flying by!! Here are some Valentine cards that I have made:



Very simple to make. It was a great way to use up some of my Valentine paper scraps from last year. You dont need a lot of supplies to make your own Valentine cards. You would just need Valentine paper, a sentiment stamp, and black ink.
